Aim: To develop a research strategy
DO NOW:
- Log into the laptops with Student account and open Firefox
- Open school home page- under "Departments" find Library link and open
- Under "Subject Guides"-open CONN-Shakespeare link
- Open Activity 3 in a new tab by positioning the cursor over the link, pressing the APPLE key
and pressing the
right side of the mouse pad.
- Open Writely
in a new tab by positioning the cursor over the link, pressing the APPLE key and pressing the
right side of the mouse pad.
- Open your Thesis document in a new tab by positioning the cursor over the link, pressing the APPLE key
and pressing the
right side of the mouse pad.
- Close tabs you don't need by clicking the x on the right side of the tab.
- Copy the following questions into your Thesis document and answer.
- Does your information come from a website? An article from a database?
- If a website - what is the name of the web page you got your information from -
the name of the website? The URL address? If a database, what is the name of the article, the publication, and the database.
- When was the information published? How do you know?
- How did you find your information? What was your search term?
- How do you evaluate what you find?
- Why are you using this source?
- When was the information last updated? How can you tell?
- Who created the website this page is housed on? How can you tell?
- Who wrote the information you are using?
- How do you know this information is correct?
- How did you verify this information?
