Activity 3


Aim: To develop a research strategy
DO NOW:

  1. Log into the laptops with Student account and open Firefox
  2. Open school home page- under "Departments" find Library link and open
  3. Under "Subject Guides"-open CONN-Shakespeare link
  4. Open Activity 3 in a new tab by positioning the cursor over the link, pressing the APPLE key and pressing the right side of the mouse pad.
  5. Open Writely in a new tab by positioning the cursor over the link, pressing the APPLE key and pressing the right side of the mouse pad.
  6. Open your Thesis document in a new tab by positioning the cursor over the link, pressing the APPLE key and pressing the right side of the mouse pad.
  7. Close tabs you don't need by clicking the x on the right side of the tab.

  8. Copy the following questions into your Thesis document and answer.
    1. Does your information come from a website? An article from a database?
    2. If a website - what is the name of the web page you got your information from - the name of the website? The URL address? If a database, what is the name of the article, the publication, and the database.
    3. When was the information published? How do you know?
    4. How did you find your information? What was your search term?
    5. How do you evaluate what you find?
    6. Why are you using this source?
    7. When was the information last updated? How can you tell?
    8. Who created the website this page is housed on? How can you tell?
    9. Who wrote the information you are using?
    10. How do you know this information is correct?
    11. How did you verify this information?
