Officers Spring 2012
Davis Erin Anderson - President
daviserinanderson[at]gmail.com
Davis happily puts her two degrees in music performance to use as a music
librarian at Boosey & Hawkes, the world’s foremost classical music
publishing company. A student of Library and Information Science by night,
Davis is interested in mapping the world of music through next generation
cataloging and also hopes to satisfy her inner business woman by boning up
on business research strategies, information policy, and best practices in
Knowledge Management. Davis is a recipient of SLA's Rising Star Award
and also a member of Library Journal's Movers & Shakers Class of 2012.
Emily Lundeen - Vice President of Tours
emilylundeen[at]gmail.com
Emily launched into her first year at Pratt with great enthusiasm. For the past five years she has been working in the wine and spirits industry as a Sales and Marketing Coordinator for Moet Hennessy USA. She looks forward to combining her business experience with her love of helping people find and organize information. In addition to working, she is honing her research and user instruction skills as an intern at Barnard College. This year she enjoyed attending the SLA National Conference, and was inspired by speaking with so many enthusiastic and forward thinking information professionals. In her spare time she assumes the roles of cat wrangler, singer, and Prospect Park runner.
Katie Hut - Treasurer
khut[at]pratt.edu
Katie is in her second year at Pratt SILS, after having spent the last seven years in the book publishing industry. An avowed history geek (as evidenced by a BA in Modern US History from the University of Pennsylvania), Katie is thrilled to be interning at the Brooklyn Historical Society for Project CHART. At BHS, Katie is scanning photography archives and helping to create a website for their viewing. While her interest in history makes archives a natural fit, Katie also wants to learn more about making the information search process more efficient and transparent through taxonomies and ontologies. When she’s not working (cleaning a database for a financial start-up), interning, or in class, Katie likes to watch football, dominate in fantasy football, practice pilates and yoga, and force her homemade vegan fare on her husband.
Aurelia Moser - Vice President of Membership
amoser[at]pratt.edu
Equipped with a grab-bag BA background including humanities and hard sciences, Aurelia is pursuing a dual degree MLIS and MS in History of Art @ Pratt. After frustration in early science coursework as an undergrad, she shifted focus to Art History and French, spent two years studying and teaching in Marseille, and subsequently settled into the social and [ever-so-special] library sciences. With experience archiving and researching at a private textile collection and in Prints & Drawings at the Art Institute of Chicago, she now hopes to pursue a career in Art and Special Collections Librarianship with an eye on francophone and foreign reference collections. An avid book-learner and book-slinger, she splits time as a Pratt student and a stagiaire at the Alliance Française Médiathèque supplemented by SLA and side projects. Born in Baltimore, she grew up in the Midwest now lives in a Bed Stuy brownstone, with a backyard...booyah.
Rebecca Chadwick - Secretary
rchadwick26[at]@gmail.com
Rebecca is in her second year of Pratt SILS. She also works as the Library Assistant Intern at the Center for Marketing Intelligence, part of Interpublic Group, one of the top four global advertising holding companies. This past summer she presented on finding digitized and non-digitized historical company materials at the IPG Intern Wide Event. As an undergrad at Bard College, she studied the written arts in poetry and literature and spent four years finding books and articles to share in the Interlibrary Loan Department of the Stevenson Library. Now Rebecca is interested in corporate libraries and applying analysis and insight to information requests of all types. She lives in Bushwick and likes the M train better when it is above ground.
Abby Lindquist - Vice President of Public Relations
alindq16[at]@pratt.edu
After spending the past six years in marketing at academic publishers and with a BA in English from the University of Colorado, Abby is now in her second year at Pratt. Having become interested in corporate libraries while attending 2011's SLA Conference in Philadelphia, she will intern this spring for the Conde Nast Research Library. In addition to being a graduate assistant in the SILS office, she interned in the fall at the Barnard College Library, providing reference assistance and user instruction. She has recently become obsessed with Downton Abbey and Game of Thrones.
Lauren Spiro - Website Manager
laurenspiro[at]gmail.com
Lauren is in her second semester at Pratt SILS. Following a history of work with several different databases in different contexts, Lauren became a Metadata Specialist for ebrary, a Silicon Valley-based ebooks company, 4 years ago. She continues to work for the company on a part time, remote basis. After studying Literature as an undergrad at the University of South Carolina, Lauren moved to New York and became a fashion writer for a now-defunct web site during the first dot com boom. After the bust, she shuffled off and earned an MA in Poetics from SUNY Buffalo. Lauren will be interning at the Seaport Museum this Spring to familiarize herself with archival processes by working with a wide variety of materials.
Pam Rollo - Faculty Advisor

Pam is a visiting Full Professor at Pratt SILS, and a past President of SLA.
