Fine Arts Metal Shop, which consists of the metal, machine, and foundry facilities,
seeks Student Technicians with exceptional technical and communication skills,
as well as personal interface, to assist Staff Technician.
Duties are highly
specialized and technical, requiring exceptional and diversified skills. Assignments
involve analysis, independent judgment and knowledge of the principles, practices,
and concepts of metal-working and fabrication.
Duties include, but are
not limited to the following:

Metal Shop as a clean, efficient, safe, learning and working environment,

shop to ensure safe operation and prevent tool/equipment damage |  |  |  | | » | | Assist
in the maintenance and organization of all equipment and materials |  |  |  | | » | | Where
possible, assist in troubleshooting and repairing tools and equipment |  |  |  | | » | | Assist
in recording daily inventory and reporting all shortfall and damage of tools and
equipment |  |  |  | | » | | Assist
shop users in use of tools and equipment |  |  |  | | » | | Assist
in procuring supplies for general shop and class use |  |  |  | | » | | Report
any hazardous and dangerous conditions |

Faculty in all technical aspects of coursework, as follows: |  |  |  | | » | | Set

students and ensure their safe operation of tools and equipment |
