Friday Forum: Pratt Institute 2005

Pratt Institute's main campus is located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, between Willoughby and Dekalb Avenues and between Hall Street and Classon Avenue.

BY SUBWAY

Take the G train to the Clinton-Washington stop. (There are transfers to the G — from the A or the C — at Hoyt-Schermerhorn and — from the L — at Metropolitan/Lorimer stations.) At the Clinton-Washington G stop, exit and walk north (toward Manhattan) on Washington Avenue (or Clinton Avenue) one block to Dekalb Avenue. Take a right and walk east one block (or three blocks) to Hall Street — here you will find the southwest corner of Pratt’s campus — a veritable wonderland of contemporary sculpture. Enter the gate, walk through the canon sculpture roundabout and cross the wide redbrick sidewalk, continuing straight through the quad. Walk toward an oversized bench made of tires. The hips of the nude face the front door of the Engineering Building. This is your destination. The readings occur three flights of stairs up, in Engineering Room 371. See the campus map: http://www.pratt.edu/campus/map/right.html. Class starts at noon.
